MODEL CARBINE. Cal. 44 Evans CF, 1 1/2" shell. NSN. Bbl. 22" rnd. with blade front sight and military style graduated leaf rear sight. Radial block receiver with lever operated side gate. 28-shot tubular mag. located in the butt. Schnabel tipped checkered walnut forearm with 2-piece walnut stock. Estimated quantity of 10,000 mfg. in Maine 1877-1879. CONDITION: 30% dull fading blue showing handling marks and surface corrosion. Forearm shows heavy wear, handling marks, and small chips. Both stock panels have a worn appearance with scratches and marks. Lower panel has heavy dents, missing a large chip on the right side leading edge. Action appears to function properly. Dark pitted bore with partially intact rifling. (01-27277/DS). ANTIQUE. $700-1,000.
