<B>EUROPEAN ROEBUCK</B></I> <B>SHOULDER MOUNT</B></I><BR> <I>Capreolus capreolus</B></I><BR>This is the smallest and most elegant native deer in Europe. The present example comes from Germany and is a very large trophy-size buck. These are shy but curious animals, active mainly at night, spending the day in cover. Both sexes have a dog-like bark when alarmed but only the males have antlers.
