ERWIN ROMMEL
(1891 - 1944) German field marshal whose Afrika Corps threw back repeated British and American assaults in North Africa, later he defended Normandy and ultimately was forced to commit suicide due to his implication in the Hitler bomb plot. Partly-printed D.S. "Rommel", 1p. legal folio, Potsdam, Sep. 18, 1937, a report on the grades earned by student "Dienenthal" of Cavalry Reg. 13 at the Officer's Examination held at the Potsdam Military School. Boldly signed, file holes at left, else very good.
