Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 8188k. Bbl. 8" Artillery w/ added copper Sheard style bead at front. Tangent rear sight (w/out fine tune adjustment feature) having base numbered 54 under sight leaf &19 at top left front; slider numbered 56 (no other numbers visible). Left side of bbl. below rear sight has "GERMANY" export mark. Mixture of Erfurt parts having frame from standard 4" Military model w/ Artillery receiver dated 1916 & numbered 3675 having 1 visible crown S proof; sear numbered 94. Serial number range & proof marks determined it is not an original Artillery model. Erfurt marked toggle assembly having toggles & firing pin numbered 86 plus 75 on breech block & extractor. Frame has 86 on safety bar, safety lever, trigger, side plate & hold open latch; takedown latch not numbered. On frame under side plate has "L" on rail & 14 by trigger. Extremely faint "GERMANY" export mark on right rail. Numerous crown S proofs on sm. parts plus crown RC Erfurt repair mark at top front of trigger guard. Left grip w/ "e" plus "55 & "3" on right. Post war German export that has been refinished again w/ high polish; no strawed parts & w/out internal areas in the white. MAGS: 1 fair to good 8 rd. w/ cleaned body having patina tone. Unmarked plastic base w/ concentric rings in dimples. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: very good appearing simple reproduction snail drum predominantly of cast alloy parts & no internals. CONDITION: very good general appearance aside from its commercial excess polishing post German export. Some faint areas of prior pitting & some slight profile compromising. Good grips w/ hand wear. Widened top of breech block creating trough on either side of extractor. Very good to excellent bore. (22-3330/NW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
