<td width="100%">
A lovely late 18TH Century English Worcester luncheon plate measuring 7 3/4" in diameter. This plate is marked on the back with a scratched in or incised "B". It does not show up well on the image that I have taken on the back of the plate but I will try working on that. This mark was used for a very brief period of time 1792-1804 when the Worcester Factory was under the direction of Joseph Flight and Martin Barr. For furthur reading please refer to John Sandon's Book "THE DICTIONARY OF VWORCESTER PORCELAIN" Vol. 1,1751-1781. The center of the dish with rockwork and a fret-work fence, with a pagoda in the distance. The flower filled garden landscape, decorated with an Imari colors using underglaze cobalt blue with iron-red, pink,yellow,turquoise blue,green and gilding. This piece is Fresh out of a Charlottesville, Va. Estate.
