ELSKAMP, Max. - L' Alphabet de Notre Dame la Vierge. ( Anvers, J.E. Buschmann, Editions du Conservatoire de la Tradition populaire, 2 octobre 1901). In-4°. Rel. de l'époque (?) : bradel pleine toile imprimée d'un motif répété blanc cassé sur brun clair, étiq. de maroq. brun sur le dos lisse, couv. cons. (gorges faibles, pâle mouill. marginale in fine, faiblesses sur les gardes inf.).
Edition originale et unique tirée à 215 ex. Exemplaire de passe non num. sur vergé anglais (4e et dernier papier). Le bulletin de souscription annonce 95 ex. sur ce papier et la justification 100 vergé et 100 vélin.
Belle édition xylographique dont les ff. ont été pliés à la japonaise et les bois tirés en bleu et rose avec, sur la page de droite, le nom de l'objet représenté sur la page de gauche, le tout cerné d'une guirlande aux petits coeurs accolés. Edition imprimée par Elskamp et Paul Buschmann senior pour le Conservatoire de la Tradition populaire, fondé par le poète, Ed. de Bruijn et Laurent Fierens. Le Conservatoire publiera encore en 1904 la 1re partie du "Folklore du droit immobilier" de De Bruijn.
Envoi autographe signé d'Elskamp sur le f. blanc : "à mon vieux, très cher, et très fidèle, Henri van de Putte, ces "mannekensblaren" pour ses gosses, et en cordiale affection". Le poète Van de Putte (1877-1969) fut le cofondateur de la revue Antée. Elskamp dédicaça dans des termes similaires un ex. au poète Pol De Mont.

After full payment, buyers are kindly requested to take away their purchases immediately after the auction or at the bookshop the next Tuesday after the auction 230 av. Louise, from 2 pm until 6 pm.
Goods will be send only after customers’ payment.
Packing and dispatching are entirely at the buyer’s own expense.
Books whose price exceed 100 (EUR) will be send by registered post.

Payment will be made in Belgian Francs. We do not accept credit cards neither cheques whose total amount exceed 200 (EUR) or cheques not validated for higher sum.
Terms of sale require buyers to pay immediately for their purchases, which means that lots will be released to them only when full and cleared payment as been received by us
In addition to the hammer price, the buyer has to pay a buyer’s premium of 21%, V.A.T. inclusive, all strictly in cash and in Ero's (EUR)
In case of original art and if the principles of the author’s rights are applicable, an extra 4% must be paid on each hammer price of at least 1250 EUR
All items are assumed to be in good condition unless otherwise stated. Buyers are kindly invited to carry out their own inspection of the lots they want to buy. All items to be auctioned are on view for several days prior to the sale.
Returning an item after the striking of the hammer will not be accepted, whatever the reason put forward. Those items bought on order must be inspected within 8 days after receipt. Any return after this term will be refused.
All items of the catalogue with the mention « n.c. » (non collationné = not inspected) are not subject to return. Neither are those sold in lots (two items or more) works consisting in multiple volumes and periodicals or series.
If you cannot attend the auction, we can execute written bids on your behalf. To ensure a satisfactory service, it is necessary to make arrangements for the services at least one day before the sale.
On every purchase Belgian law only is applicable, and all cases of dispute are exclusively to the competence of the Brussels Chamber.
