SILVER PLATE: Elkington Silver Company: A fine 5-lite-4 branch pair of silver plated candelabra, scroll branches, central light with similar sockets having detachable nozzles, profuse floral molded central stem, chase work, gadroon floral edge against a paneled base, weighted base, hall marked with the ''shell motif'', used after 1915, and marked ''Made in England''. Elkington (Ellis Silver or Ellis Barker in the US) held Royal Warrants from Queen Victoria, King Edward VI, King George V, King Edward VIII and King George VI. The Elkington & Co. name is still in use today as manufacturers under the auspices of British Silverware Limited. This pair is attributed to the mid-20th century, 21'' overall height x 18'' width. Note: One central final cap is missing, some rub marks and minor discoloration at the base
