(ELIZABETH I) </b>(1533 - 1603) Queen of England who established the English litany, imprisoned Roman Catholic rival Mary, Queen of Scots and eventually agreed to her execution which in turn led to Philip of Spain dispatching the Spanish Armada for an invasion of England. Despite its violence, her 45-years reign saw England grow into a world power. A manuscript document from her reign (unsigned), 1p. folio, [n.p.], Oct. 5, 1588, a tripartite indenture in Latin on parchment, between Robert Pearson of Howden, Yorkshire, Sir Lewis Mordaunt <i>("Knight Lord Mordaunt</i>"), Marmaduke Grymston, and others, concerning the prebend of Howden, tithes of corn sheaves, and the marriage of Nicholas Pearson. With pendant wax seal, largely intact. Folds and the usual soiling, else very good.<b> $200-300</b>
