This classic cane has an ivory knob 2" high and just over 1.25" in diameter. The stepped malacca shaft has a .75"coin silver band at the step with a twist rope design. The silver eyelets are set closer to the handle than on slightlylater canes. The silver collar has split at the edge of the twist, and just over half of it is missing. The 4.5" long brassferrule shows signs of wear and denting of the lower half. Finish of the shaft is somewhat worn, and some minorcracks in the ivory, as is to be expected for an example of this age. Overall length, 36".(EST 600-800)
