Knob-handled cane with elephant ivory handle 1.75" high and 1.25" in diameter. Stepped malacca shaft has coinsilver collars both at junction with handle (1/8" wide) and at step of malacca shaft (.75" wide), plus coin silvereyelets. The 3" long ferrule is brass with iron tip. This cane is typical of many made in the first quarter of 19th century or ealier. Overall length is 35.5". Some wear to finish of shaft; pitting and scratches to ferrule; minor age cracks inivory.(EST 600-800)
