EGYPT:Order of Merit, Class 3 neck badge, gilt with a five-pointed star with gold, blue, and white enamels, with label pin, all in original case of issue, EF. The Order of Merit was founded by the Regent on behalf of King Ahmad Fuad (Fuad II) in 1953 as a general award for meritorious service. The order is composed of the following classes of merit: Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer, and Knight. The ribbon is red with narrow white edge stripes and black edges.
