<td width="100%">
Very large Edwardian inlaid wood marquetry serving tray. Made in England first decade of the 20th century.

Total width is 26 3/4 inches, including the handles. Distance accross is about 14 inches.

Kidney shaped tray with brass handles on either end. Main wood is believed to be mahogany and the inlays are a variety of coloured fruit woods. A string of cream-coloured wood is inlaid about 1 inch from the rail/guard. Inlay consists of scrolling botanical subjects showing strong Art Nouveau and Aesthetic movement influence.

Underneath the tray has old velt to protect table surfaces.

Surface has wonderful patina and is extremely pleasing aesthetically.

Condition is very good with some minor negligible wood splitting on the rail due to age and natural wood shrinkage.
