At times creating animalier and Orientalist works, Drouout’s sculptures, whether of animals or people, are characterized by a sense of movement and expressive touch. Born on April 3, 1859 in Sommevoire, France, he went on to study under the popular artist Mathurin Moreau at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1889 onward. 44 x 21 x 10 cm, 5 kg
