EDISON, THOMAS A.
(1847 - 1931) American inventor of the electric light, phonograph, typewriter, and microphone, to name a few. Considered perhaps the greatest inventor of the century. A.D.S. boldly written at the bottom of an inter-corporate memo sent to him from the "Purchasing Service Department" with a note that the text had been "Ediphoned", 1p. 4to., [n.p.], Sep. 25, 1925 in which L. Ott advises Edison about obtaining some "double pressed stearic acid" presently used in the "Wax Division". Edison boldly writes in pencil at bottom: "Stearin is Stearate of Glycerol, stearic acid is the acid of sterin & is quite a different body. Edison". A couple of trivial light brown stains, else very good.
