A fine early 19th century marked Sterling knobbed stepped malacca shaft cane. This cane has a 1.25" diametersterling sphere knob with repousse flowers around entire side in 1" band, leaving a scalloped circle on top forengraving (left blank), and a .25" band at base of knob with vine decoration. The marked Sterling stepped band atstep of shaft is decorated with scroll work. The malacca shaft has a wonderful dark patina with a 1.5" horn ferrule.Total length 38.25"Insignificant scratches & dents to shaft & silver.(EST 600-800)
