EARLY HIDE-COVERED SMALL TRUNK. An early 19th-century American hide-covered wood trunk with marbled paper liner and original printed & Ms. maker's label that reads "Haskell Dutch Saddler, Harness & Trunk Maker, Trunks, Military Equiptment &, Made and Repaired at short notice, -Also- Bellows and Pocket Books of the best kind. Charlestown Square." Trunk is decorated with brass tracks including original owner's initials "A.M." on lid, brass bale handle in center of lid, and nice wrought iron and brass lock in front, 15" wide x 8" deep x 6.5" high.
