EARLY DECORATED BLANKET CHEST. Pine with the original black over red flame grain decoration. Square nail construction. High, well-shaped bracket feet and aprons. Interior originally had a till. One-board top with edge molding. Initials on the back "P. E." for Peter Ensel, Albany, N. Y., the original owner. Restored splits on one back leg and the top corner. Ex Gary and Martha Ludlow. Good proportions. 41"w. 17 3/4"d.
