Cal. 45 ACP. S# 9842-LW. Bbl. 4 1/4". Commander Model semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Colt in 1951. Left side of the slide is marked with the model and cal. designations, followed by the Rampant Colt logo, with Colt's single line address marked on the right. Bbl. bushing and recoil spring plug are stamped with an Crown/K within an oval. Alloy frame exhibits a reapplied black enamel type finish, with the slide exhibiting a reapplied blue finish. Bbl. is in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece smooth natural white grips. Grip safety is an aftermarket replacement. 3-dot iron sights. MAGS: 1 aftermarket Chip McCormick Corp. 8-rd. Power Mag. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied finishes, exhibiting a few light superficial handling marks overall. Slide shows some spots of light pitting beneath the bluing. Very bright bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics.
