EARLY AMERICAN POETRY
Romantic A.Ms. (unsigned) 2pp. legal folio, [n.p., n.d.], penned in a fine hand by an unknown poet, in part: "...My jest it is merry the truth I'll declare/Of a butcher in Canton and a young lady fair/This blooming young lady if you could her excel/In love with this pretty young butcher she fell...Dressed much like a servant unto him she went/To be hired in his service was all her intent/Her father and mother shed many a tear/There daughter was gone and they could not tell where...When this loving couple together did meet/The tears fell for joy when he kiss'd her so sweet/Saying dear honoured lady I die for your charms/'Tis you and you only shall lie in my arms...Then returning from church and all dress'd complete/Her father and mother they chanced for to meet/She fell on her knees and a blessing did crave/They rejoiced for to find her a blessing they gave..., and more. Folds, a couple of minor eroded areas, overall very good. Worthy of further research.

Estimate: $400 - 600.
