This is a beautiful bamboo and oak pedestal stand professionaly refinished and ready for your home. There is a label on the bottom of the oak shelf that reads A. I. Namm & Son. Known as Namm's Department store on Brooklyn's busy Fulton St., once covered nearly one entire block and was one of the largest such Amercian stores by the 1920s. From my research as to when it became & Son I believe it would have been around 1910-1915. It is about 25" tall and the oak top is 12" square. The legs are bambo and the oak top is framed in bamboo. A really unusual stand and a historic piece from a great department store that is no longer in business as far I as know.
