The Torpedo pattern was produced by the Thompson Glass Company of Uniontown, PA circa 1889-1893. The original name of the pattern was Thompson's No. 17. It is also known as Fisheye, and as Pigmy. This cake stand is 6" tall and 9" in diameter at the rim. The cupped foot is 4-3/4" in diameter. The pattern is on the plate, stem and the foot. There are very minor rough places around the rim and also some bubbles and straw marks. There are no chips, flakes or cracks.
