This beautiful Shell and Jewel pattern amber tumbler was made by The Westmoreland Specialty Glass Co. of Grapeville, PA circa 1893. This tumbler is unusual in that it is amber since the pattern was mostly made in clear with odd items being done in color. The tumbler is 3-3/4" tall and 2-3/4" in diameter. The color is a rich honey amber with nice jewels at the top and the shells at the bottom and in very high relief on a stippled ground. The bottom rim shows a good deal of wear from use. There may be some bubbles and straw marks but there are no chips, flakes or cracks.
