<td width="100%">
Standing about 11-1/2" tall with the original stopper, this decanter was made by Bryce Brothers of Pittsburgh, PA, as well as other manufacturers. It dates to 1885-1890. It was blown into a mold, because there is a pontil mark on the bottom of the decanter. There are no chips, cracks, or roughness to this piece, although there is some extremely minor stain loss on some of the blocks. This is to be expected with age and use, and doesn't detract fom the quality of the piece because there is so little of it. The stopper has some internal bubbles, which is common in old glass, but no damage. This is a rare piece, all the more so because of its excellent condition. If you collect ruby glass, you shouldn't let this get away.
