The "Hand" or "Pennsylvania Hand" pattern was made by the O'Hara Glass Co. of Pittsburgh, PA circa 1880. The original name of this pattern was O?Hara?s No. 90. It is called Hand because finials on lids featured a hand clinching a bar. The primary designs are alternating clear and diamond point panels. This open compote is 8" in diameter and 6-3/4" tall. The base is 4-1/8" in diameter and shows good wear. The bowl is attached to the stem with a wafer. There are some bubbles and straw marks as is common in early hand made glass, but there are no chips, flakes or cracks.
