According to some reference books, this pattern is hard to find. The Opposing Pyramids pattern was first made by Greensburg Glass Co. of Greensburg, PA circa 1889. The company joined National Glass Co in 1899. This pattern is also attributed to Bryce, Higbee Glass Co. of Pittsburgh, PA. The pattern is also known as Greensburg's Flora; Truncated Prisms; and also as Flora. The compote stands 5-1/2" high on a high standard and is 6-1/4" in diameter at the flared rim. The bowl and the stem are wafer joined. The patterned base is 4-1/2" in diameter and shows a good deal of wear. There may be some bubbles and straw marks but there are no chips, flakes or cracks.
