This is a beautiful kerosene oil lamp made by O'Hara Glass Company of Pittsburgh, PA circa 1885. The pattern was continued by The United States Glass Company after the merger of 1891. We know the pattern as O'Hara's Diamond and US Glass No. 115001. The pattern is also known as Ruby Star, and as Sawtooth and Star. The glass is very clear. The lamp is 9" tall to the collar and the base is 5" in diameter. The font and the foot have been joined. The collar may be a replacement but it has been there a long time. The burner is old and the thumb screw is marked "Pat. Jan 16, '83 and Feb. 11, '73. There may be some bubbles and straw marks but there are no chips, flakes or cracks.
