<td width="100%">
This is a beautiful flint glass Vernon Honeycomb 1 quart decanter with bar lip. The Vernon Honeycomb is an allover design. The pattern was made by almost all glass houses of the 19th Century either in pressed pattern glass or in cut glass. This includes Bakewell, Pear & Co.; Gillinder & Sons; McKee Brothers; New England Glass; O'Hara Glass and more for the pattern glass. This decanter is for the bar and not the parlor since it has a bar lip which would hold a metal contraption with a marble in it to keep the flies out. A regular decanter will have a stopper and a smaller lip. This decanter is 10-3/4" tall and 4-1/2" across the base. The bottom has the pinch pontil. There is some slight residue in the bottom but no sickness in the glass. There may be some bubbles and straw marks but there are no chips, flakes or cracks.
