The quality of glass used on this set is outstanding and makes the heavily raised sawtooth pattern design sparkle. Amazon was a pattern made by Bryce Brothers Glass Co. of Pittsburgh, PA. It is also known as Sawtooth and as Sawtooth Band. It was shown in the big Pittsburgh Glass show of 1890, the year of introduction of the pattern. This is a non-flint glass. It is also another example of the children's pieces being carried as a part of a large range of shapes in a pattern made originally for family use. This stemmed creamer is 3" tall at the spout and 1-7/8" in diameter plus the pressed handle. The foot is 2" in diameter. There may be some bubbles and straw marks but there are no chips, flakes or
cracks. The information on the child's set came from - Patterns and Pinafores - Pressed Glass Toy Dishes by Marion T. Hartung and Iona E. Hinshaw published in 1971.
