This pressed glass celery server is Early American Pressed Glass (EAPG). It has been identified as the Wisconsin State pattern, one of the EAPG U. S. State Series patterns.

It is in a beaded cable design in molded, pressed glass. The celery server measures 6 inches tall, including 5 3/4 inches from the top to the neck of the foot, 4 inches across the top (3 1/2 inches without the beads), and 3 1/4 inches across the base.

The design includes nine (9) panels, which are recessed. Each of the panels is surrounded by large beads; each of the recessed areas within the panels is surrounded by small beads. There are larger beads around the top and between the panels, beginning from a top cluster.

This item came from an estate from which I also purchased several items of 100 years or more in age from known reputable sellers. Although some reproduction glass items have been artificially made purple for the public and should be avoided, I believe that this item was exposed to sunlight during its natural life and hence turned this light violet color (this is due to the manganese used to make the glass during manufacture).

This will make an exceptional addition to an EAPG collection!
