In 1927, this popular tale was adapted for the screen (the sixth Tarzan film ever made) by FBO Pictures. To play the role of his jungle hero, Burroughs himself picked struggling actor James Pierce, who married the author's daughter, Joan. Another struggling actor, Boris Karloff, was cast as Owaza, a native chief. From the Robert and Diane Yaspan Collection.

Shipping: Books & Catalogs (view shipping information)
