E. J. Churchill, 410ga, side by side boxlock shotgun marked “61 Paul Maul, St. Jam’s, London, England. With roman numerals “XXV” gold inlaid near breech. The gun shows 25” barrels, choked “Improved Cylinder” (right),“Modified” (left). With British nitro proofs, 5 tons per square inch, and marked for 3” shells. Serial #4614. The gun shows auto triggers, auto ejectors, English style straight stock measuring nearly 15” fromfront trigger to end of wood. The gun weighs approx. Barrels show a narrow raised and filed non-ventilated rib. The action is lightly engraved, sides and top polished. Bottom plate and triggerguard blued to matchbarrels. The gun is in very good plus condition and would be near fine except for some discoloration to bright areas which may clean and may be just dried oil. The barrel shows 97-99% original blue. The stocks arevery good plus to near fine and show crisp checkering at wrist and butt. The bores are excellent and show just slight use.
