The Tao' T'ieh design of Tiger or Fierce Beast face is well-known to ancient collectors since it was used for strength and protection by all ancient Chinese cultures. This example is later than many, being circa 50AD-220AD, and has a shallower pattern to the decor. Excellent condition and "guaranteed as represented", as are the other lots in this auction. 4-1/4" from top to bottom of ring.
