Scarce Canadian magazine fed bolt action service rifle chambered in .303 British, used by the Canadian Northern Rangers and Royal Canadian Air Force as survival rifles. Produced by Essential Agencies Limited circa 1950's utilizing spare Long Branch No. 4 Mk I* action bodies and some Canadian Arsenal Ltd. marked parts. Features a blued finish, 21.2" barrel, ramped patridge front sight, express-style rear sight with two folding leafs, smooth trigger, detachable 5 round magazine, drilled & tapped receiver for Parker Hale scope mounts, tan canvas sling, manual safety on the left side of the receiver, smooth walnut forend and pistol grip shoulder stock with Jostam Mfg. Anti-Flinch recoil pad. The left side of the receiver is stamped "303 CAL. E.A.L. 5811" and also has a social security number scratched into it. Rifle exhibits approximately 92% of it's blued finish showing light edge wear, handling marks and slide wear on the bolt. Action is smooth, the bore is very good and the wood stocks are very good+.
