Dwight Eisenhower Signed Original Poster & TLS
Dwight Eisenhower Signed Original Campaign Poster Illustration Art with a Typed Letter Signed. Also includes a program and two tickets to the Citizens for Eisenhower Banquet held at the Hotel Leamington on October 30, presumably 1952. The poster art is attractively framed to a size of 23” x 11.25”. The art features a farmer on his yellow tractor with the words “I’M PULLING FOR IKE” emblazoned across the top. Eisenhower has signed “Dwight D. Eisenhower” in the middle just above the tractor. The art is in excellent condition, and has probably been framed since it was given to the owner some years ago. The accompanying TLS is a thank-you from Eisenhower to a campaign supporter. It is one page, 7” x 10.25”, New York, New York, December 16, 1952, to Robert Mullin of Minneapolis. Ike has also signed here “Dwight D. Eisenhower” in bold black ink. The letter reads in part: “I am writing you to express my deep personal gratitude for the outstanding work you did on behalf of our campaign. The dedicated group of Americans who organized themselves into the now famous movement known as 'Citizens for Eisenhower-Nixon,' played a unique role in the events that led to our victory on November 4th.” The letter is in fine condition, with usual mailing folds. The program and tickets to the banquet are wonderful first-hand ephemeral items from Eisenhower’s first successful campaign for the presidency, and are both in fine condition. Taken together, this small collection is big on value for the Eisenhower collector, with a signed original piece of campaign illustration art, a signed letter, and three 1952 ephemera items only available to Eisenhower insiders. An eclectic assortment.

Shipping: Framed - with Glass, Medium (view shipping information)
