Scarce DS as president, one page, 8.25 x 12, January 27, 1954. Internal Executive Order reads, in part: “I hereby designate George C. McConnaughey as Chairman of the Renegotiation Board.” Boldly signed at the conclusion by Eisenhower. In fine condition, with a few stray ink flecks and a lightly trimmed top edge. The Renegotiation Board was a federal agency charged with overseeing the reasonableness of profits made by contractors who performed more than one million dollars of business with the government during a fiscal year.
