Ink signature, “Dwight D. Eisenhower,” on an off-white slip. Nicely double matted and framed with a WWII-vintage handmade silver bullion star from Eisenhower’s uniform, .75 x .75, sewn to a circular piece of Eisenhower’s tan Army uniform, a souvenir copy of Eisenhower’s D–Day Order, bearing a printed signature, and two color portraits of Eisenhower to an overall size of 30.75 x 21. In fine condition. Accompanied by a letter of transmittal on a White House stationery card from Lillian Roger Parks, who served in the presidential mansion from 1929-60. She states, in part: “The World War II hand-sewn silver bouillon star is attached to a piece of Gen. Eisenhower’s tan uniform. I worked for Pres. Eisenhower for 8 yrs., and was closely acquainted with his valet of 27 yrs., Sgt. Moaney. I liked the President. He was a great man.” Oversized.
