World War II-dated TLS, one page, 5.25 x 6.75, Supreme Headquarters, Allied Expeditionary Force, Office of the Supreme Commander letterhead, March 21, 1944. Letter to Paul V. Lutz in St. Louis, in full: "It is always a particular pleasure to get a letter from such a patriotic little American citizen. I am more than delighted to hear that although you are only 15 you are already playing your part in this war. If everyone does his duty it will bring the day of victory closer. My thanks, also, for your message of good wishes on my new appointment. I hope that my signature at the end of this letter will serve as the autograph you want." In fine condition.

Embroiled in the planning stages for Operation Overlord at the time he wrote this letter, Ike would lead the successful invasion of Normandy just three months later on June 6, 1944. A superb, patriotic letter that places an emphasis on the efforts of the 'home front' during World War II.
