Dwight D. Eisenhower elephant campaign pin gifted by him to his secretary. Ornate metal pin from his 1952 presidential campaign is an elephant in profile, its trunk raised and body covered in a scrolling foliated design. Pin was gifted to Helen Weaver North, who served as personal secretary to Eisenhower at the White House from 1953-1957 and prior, at NATO headquarters in Paris in 1951. Pin measures 1'' x 1''. Near fine condition. Accompanied by an LOA signed ''David North'', stating: ''My mother, Helen Weaver North, was General Dwight D. Eisenhower's personal secretary at NATO Headquarters in Paris from 1951 and his secretary at the White House from 1953-1957.
