Dwight D. Eisenhower jeweled campaign pin gifted by him to his secretary. Republican elephant pin reading ''IKE'' is from his 1952 presidential campaign, and features enamel tusks and a red and white gem cluster. Pin was gifted to Helen Weaver North, who served as personal secretary to Eisenhower at the White House from 1953-1957 and prior, at NATO headquarters in Paris in 1951. Pin measures just over 1/2 square inches. Chipping to enamel and light tarnishing to metal, else fine. Accompanied by an LOA signed ''David North'', stating: ''My mother, Helen Weaver North, was General Dwight D. Eisenhower's personal secretary at NATO Headquarters in Paris from 1951 and his secretary at the White House from 1953-1957. This is to certify that the ornate 1952 IKE elephant campaign pin pictured below was given by President Eisenhower to my mother...''
