Entertaining description of watching five Dutch girls speaking Dutch, eating at their table, drinking and dancing. Harrisburg circular date stamp. "...Would do you good to see the Dutch here in this part of the country...Now sitting in a tavern in the best room and there is five Girls speaking Dutch as fast as Moses old mill classes. Click clack...." Describes local meal of "ham, pork, turkey, chicken...pickel tripe...homeney, sowcrat [sauerkraut], apple butter and butter milk and large plums...The ladies was very fond of tripe. After eating very hearty...we took our second course. It was shuger kipples and sweet meats...They all spoke Dutch. I could not understand what they said, but they will dance like Jim Crow...Harrisburg is a very fine place and the Loco Legislature is now sitting...I think this state will go Harrison...."
