Signed ?Cay-S? for authenticity. Art measures 13-1/2? x 10-1/2? inside. The wood frame measures 19? x 15? approximately. Wire has been mounted on the back of the frame,ready to be hung on the wall. About artist Cay Schoodt: Came from Europe in the late 1930's , and these were brought over from Holland pre WW2. Cay Schoodt was born on the Dutch-German border in 1929. After the war, he studied in Paris for a time, and became interested in Still Life paintings, and in particular, the ?Variations on a Theme? views of similar objects created in differing ways. His work is painstaking and thoughful, and his seemingly simple resultstake much careful work to produce. Would make a great addition to your home, with it's pleasing colors and theme.
