Manufactured in 1956, the first year of Second Generation Single Action Army revolver production and subsequently engraved in 2010. The barrel sides feature a scroll and punch dot engraving surrounding the model/caliber marking. The engraved pattern extends to the frame, cylinder, hammer sides and back strap with a Western scene on the left side of the frame, a Native America head on the recoil shield and a buffalo (left side profile) on top of the back strap. The paneled Hartford barrel address has a wedge of scrollwork at the front. The engraved signed the front of the frame "2010/engr/DUNCAN" and the front of the trigger guard by the frame serial number is signed "D.E.D." Fitted with a smooth ivory grip. Consignor notes state that the grip is fossil mammoth ivory. The included Colt factory letter confirms the caliber and barrel length with finish blue at the time of original shipment and stocks not listed. The revolver was shipped to The Lack Company, Paducah, Kentucky, on December 3, 1956 as part of a 6 gun shipment. Note that the next lot is another Colt Second Generation Single Action Army revolver embellished by Duncan and part of the same December 3, 1956 shipment to The Lack Company of Paducah, Kentucky (serial number 8718SA).

Near mint as professionally custom embellished. The revolver retains 99% plus of the nickel finish showing a few light handling marks. The grip is excellent with attractive grain pattern and color. Mechanically excellent.
