Dumonthier style double-barrel side by side percussion knife pistol with 15-1/4” blade, 21-3/8” overall, cow horn grip scales, showing Belgian proofs, the pistol shows a lightly engraved crossguard and is in good condition showing some light to moderate pitting and erosion and some slight sharpening to the edges of the blade, but generally good condition overall. With folding triggers and silver plated brass mounted original to the period scabbard in good condition Sophisticated collectors believe this to be the only side by side percussion pistol of this type known with the barrels mounted on top of grip at the rear of the blade whereas most of this type have a barrel on each side of the blade forward of the guard. A very rare and desirable European oddity pistol, possibly unique. Est: $3,000 - $6,000

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
