Dumbo Weekly Complete Set (Walt Disney Productions, 1942).
Dumbo Weekly Complete Set (Walt Disney Productions, 1942). Here's a real find for any collector of Disney giveaway comics! Offered in this lot is a complete run of the Diamond D-X Gas Station Dumbo Weekly comics, plus the binder given to put them in. These are all four-page issues, with lots of stories, puzzles, jokes, plus a full page ad for Diamond D-X products, all illustrated with great Walt Disney Studios art. Finding just one of these items is a chore in itself (just try a search on eBay sometime); here's the entire 16-issue run. The binder was printed on linen-like stock, and is even harder to locate than the comic sections! The sections, all with two holes punched along the left side for the binder, are in about FN to VF+ condition, with most running toward the high end (#10 does have a 2.5" tear through the top of the first page); the binder is a little rough, with several tears and a couple of pieces out along the right side. You could hold out for a better set, but be prepared for a very long wait! Overstreet 2004 value for group = $1,700. 17 items

Important notice: Heritage usually auctions material at the rate of 200-250 lots per hour. On some occasions eBay Live bid software or the Internet may not be able to keep up with the pace of the auction. We recommend placing a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Occasionally the auctioneer may eliminate or reject an eBay Live bid, and the auctioneer may also reopen a lot after the close of the eBay live bidding (usually because we missed an audience bid), and may reject your bid even if it shows you as the winning bidder. By bidding via eBay Live, you agree that Heritage may award the lot to another bidder at its sole discretion under the circumstances described above or any other reasonable circumstances. Since eBay bids are not shown to us until we open the lot on the floor, we treat those bids just like floor bids. In most cases the floor responds before the eBay bid is presented to us, due to Internet lag time, so for consistency we have made it a policy that floor bids are always considered first over tie eBay live bids. Also please note that all Heritage lots purchased through eBay Live carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions before you bid.
