Fountain pen signatures of Ellington and 16 members of his band on two off-white sheets, affixed to an 11 x 14 scrapbook page bearing clipped magazine photos of the musicians. The lower sheet, 6.5 x 2.5, is signed by Duke Ellington and Ivie Anderson. The upper sheet, 7.25 x 10.5, is signed by Lawrence Brown, Rex Stewart, Jimmy Blanton, Wallace Jones, Ben Webster, Fred Guy, Joe ‘Tricky Sam’ Nanton, Barney Bigard, Otto Hardwick, Johnny Hodges, Sonny Greer, Juan Tizol, Harry Carney, Ray Nance, and Herb Jeffries. Many have also added their instrument beside their name. In very good to fine condition, with overall toning to the borders and light scattered soiling, and intersecting folds to the upper sheet, slightly affecting many of the signatures.
