''Top Rank'' bout agreement signed by Duk-Koo Kim, dated 3 September 1982. The highly anticipated Lightweight Championship match between Ray ''Boom-Boom'' Mancini and South Korean Duk-Koo Kim took place 13 November 1982 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. After losing the match, Kim suffered brain injuries that led to his death five days later. Highly-detailed contract discusses the broadcasting and promotional rights to the bout as well as compensation: ''…Fighter will engage in a boxing contest with Ray Mancini ('Opponent') in a bout scheduled for 15 rounds to a decision (hereinafter called the 'Bout'). The maximum weight for such Bout shall be 135lbs. The Bout will be held on Nov. 13, 1982. Promoter agrees to pay to Fighter, and Fighter agrees to accept, upon completion of the Bout, the purse of $20,000 net…'' Contract on two pages, front and verso, measures 8.5'' x 14'' with signature in Korean characters on verso. Countersigned by Kim's manager and Top Rank's then-President Michael Malitz. Additionally includes a red stamp with Korean characters presumably officiating the document. Staple still intact at top left, some creasing to corners and minor folds throughout. Someone has written the word ''file'' in pencil across top of document. Very good condition.
