<B>Dubuque, IA</B></I> - $10 1902 Date Back Fr. 616 <B>The First NB</B></I> Ch. # (M)317<BR> This is one of a very small run of uncirculated 1902 Date Backs from this Dubuque bank. It's a fully original piece, as attested to by the PMG "Exceptional Paper Quality" designation, and a rather seldom seen item as well, as uncirculated Date Backs are outnumbered by uncirculated Plain Backs by a very substantial margin, likely at least three or four to one. This is hardly reflected in Green Sheet prices, where uncirculated Date Backs are valued at less than 10% over their Plain Back compatriots, a pricing discrepancy unlikely to persist much longer in a world where information will likely overcome even the inertia of the Green Sheet editors.
