Drepperd Marked Pennsylvania Flintlock Long Rifle
The only visible marking on the gun is a faint "DREPPERD" on the lock and "C Liple" on the top barrel flat behind the rear sight. Henry Drepperd was a Gunsmith in Lancaster, Pa. circa 1760. Brass blade front and fixed iron rear sights, brass mountings including an ornate, decorative patch box with simple engraved designs and trigger guard with grip extension. Lightly engraved hammer side and a floral motif on the rear of the lock. Mounted with a full straight grip maple stock with a brass end cap and cheek piece with a silver eagle overlay and silver thumb oval. Complete with a wooden ramrod.

Condition: Very good as reconverted back to flintlock. The metal surfaces have a dark brown patina with a few minor dents and minor spotting on the barrel, with pitting on the breech end. The brass has an aged patina. The patch box door does not latch and is slightly bent at the hinge. The stock is also very good with a repaired crack on the left side, top right rear of the barrel tang some minor chipping around the wedge grooves and overall a few minor dents and dings. The action is fine.
