First printing copy of Dr. Seuss' ''The Cat in the Hat'' with first printing dustjacket. Random House: 1957. Book and dustjacket meet all first printing requirements. Dustjacket contains chipping to top and bottom edges, and is missing a small portion of the lower front. Dustjacket also shows scattered soiling, creasing and wear. Edges of book slightly bumped, previous owner's gift inscription to interior page and small bookstore bookplate to lower right corner of front free endpaper. Overall good condition.
