Doxa

The Swiss watch maker Doxa was founded in 1889 by George Ducommun. It became internationally known in 1967 when they launched their first diver’s watch. The SUB designed by Urs Eschle was patented in the USA in 1968; the SUB 300T was used by the Navy. The dial has been designed in orange to make reading under water easier. Next to diver’s watches, Doxa produces mainly sports watches and only a few luxury watches. (cbo)
